Sit and Watch the Show
Index is a small town on Stevens Pass in the Cascade Mountains of Washington. Once known as a settlement fot logging and even gold mining. Index now is a quiet town with lots of outdoor opportunities.
From Dr Jose Rizal Bridge there is an excellent view of the city. Taken during sunset, the whole city has a red glow, not just the brakelights.
Moon over the Middle Fork
On our way back home along the Middle Fork road we saw this scene and had to stop. Liked the moon in the blue over the mountains.
Lookout for Storms
Down on Alki Beach for the sunset. This spring evening had great storms rolling through amidst the mostly blue sky. I really liked this image of the dock with the sun passing through it.
Last Light on Seattle
A funa panorama from Alki Beach. The storms on the left and the sun reflecting off the snow of the Cascades on the right.
Carnation is a small town east of Seattle, Washington. Even though it is only 1,800 people. There are two decent sized rivers that flow through the town, the Tolt River and Snoqualmie River.
Lights on the Farm
Calm Evening on the Water
The Edmonds Ferry getting ready to load. What a nice night to be down on the water.
From up on top of Enchantment Peak. As you looked north, the Cascades went as far as you could see with different layers upon layers.
The Enchantments are located just outside of Leavenworth in the Stuart Range. This camp was up at 7,400 ft and had a beautiful backdrop. This picture was taken just after sunset with my camp all lit up.
Snoqualmie Valley View
Early on our second morning at Stuart Lake. We awoke to a nice morning with off and on breeze. During one of the off periods I was able to get this reflection of Mt Stuart.
Lime Kiln Lighthouse
On the western shore of San Juan Island is the Lime Kiln Lighthouse. Looking out at the Straight of Juan De Fuca and Vancouver Island.
